I was sold on Ilanna and Daniel’s 501 Union wedding from the start, as soon as I saw their brief but illustrative description: “Texan Jewish Salsa Wedding.” It covers a lot of ground — the irreverent fun of the wedding and Ilanna and Daniel themselves is implied; their love of dancing and friendship as well.
It was even more than that. Ilanna and Daniel weren’t going to describe their own wedding to friends and family as beautiful or elegant, or wax rhapsodic about Ilanna’s gorgeous singing as she performed for the wedding with her father…so that’s up to me. The gorgeous floral and design work of Stems Brooklyn punctuated 501 Union’s chic dark interior perfectly. DJ David Medina fueled the salsa-heavy dancing, and thank you to the Glam Squad for showing off Ilanna and the wedding party’s awesomeness.
